Death
Blanche Moore Faulk Mrs. Faulk, 97 of Matthews passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Lake Park Nursing Center. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Stallings United Methodist Church with the Reverend Stephen Pillsbury officiating. Burial will follow at Weddington United Methodist Church Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Houston Clay Faulk. Her family will receive friends for the hour preceding the service. Mrs. Faulk was born November 8, 1910 in Mecklenburg County to the late Walter Allen and Wilma Doster Moore. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who leaves behind many cherished memories. She enjoyed gardening and attending Stallings United Methodist Church where she was a member, as her health permitted. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Faulk was predeceased by her sisters, Bobbie Haywood Therrell, Eva Moore Gordon, Helen Moore Furr; brothers, Olin Walter Moore, William Eugene Moore, James Elmer Moore, Clyde Parks Moore; grandchildren, Charles Dwayne Faulk, Ruth Ann Faulk, and Ronald Eugene Faulk. Her survivors include her daughter, Shirley F. White and husband, Sidney of Matthews; sons, Billy Moore Faulk and wife, Betty of Indian Trail, V.C. 'Shorty' Faulk and wife, Annie of Patrick, SC; granddaughters, Susan Carol Williams, Janet Faye Crump, Elizabeth Grace Kiser; grandsons, Ricky Howard Faulk, William Leslie Faulk, Daniel Clay Faulk, Randal James Faulk, Stephen Harold Hunter; sister, Wilma Moore Pressley of Matthews; and by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family asks that memorials in memory of their mother be sent to Stallings United Methodist Church-Building Fund, 1115 Stallings Road, Stallings NC 28104.
