Death

PRINCETON - Cecil Miller Mann, 77, of 184 Mary I. Johnston Road, died Wednesday, Aug 18, 1999, at a Princeton Hospital. Born March 6, 1922, in Assurance, he was the son of the late William S. and Alice J. Miller Mann. Mr. Mann was educated in Mercer County and was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. He was a reitred employee of Horchst/Celanese Corp., Narrows, Va., with more than 44 years of service, retiring in 1984 from the Spinning Department. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Gladys C. Canterbury Mann; a sister, Muriel Pettrey; and four brothers, Harry, George, Edwin and Glendon Mann. Survivors included two daughters, Edith J. Mills and her husband, Dasil K. Mills jr., of Princeton and Karen C. Lane and her husband, Rondall of Charlotte N.C.; four grandchildren, Cecil Calvin Toler, Walter Andrew Toler, Whitney Rachelle Lane and Alex Megan Lane; and a sister, Nandine Cummings of Princeton. Services will be 11a.m. Friday at Burns-Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory, Athens Road, Princeton, with the Rev. Oliver "Eddie" Pettrey officiating.
