Death
CHINA GROVE — Mary Jane Furr,72, of the China Grove Retirement Center, died Sunday, April 6,1997, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Services are planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Whitley’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis. The Rev. Jesse Howard will officiate, and burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Otherwise, they will be at the home of a brother, John Furr, 2403 Earley Circle, Kannapolis. She was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Pink Henry and Nan Lambert Henry. Survivors include a brother, John Furr of Kannapolis; a nephew; and a niece.Endnotes
