Betty Elizabeth Furr, 54, of 481 Dresden Place, Concord, died at 7:33 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 1997, in NorthEast Medical Center. Her funeral was to be at 2 p.m. today in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord. The Rev. Tommy Dillon was to officiate and interment was to be in Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Born Sept. 3, 1942, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Stella Alexander Culp and was employed by Shogren Hosiery. She was a member of Freedom Full Gospel Church. She is survived by her husband, Herman S. Furr of the home; a daughter, Tamera Styers of Concord; a brother, William R. Culp of Concord; a sister, Evelyn Noles of Midland; and three grandchildren.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, August 12, 1997
