Death

Katie R. Lambert Furr, 66, of 16679 Hwy. 73, Albemarle, died at 8:58 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at her home. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. J. Denise Honeycutt and the Rev. Elizabeth Toler will officiate and burial will be in Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Stanfield. Born in Stanly County Sept. 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John Filmore and Rosetta Hinson Lambert and was retired from the shipping department at C B Drugs, Harrisburg. She was a member of Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Doyle J. Furr and her second husband, Charles Allmon, and two brothers, Horace Lambert and Archie Lambert. Surviving are her husband, Walter Ray Furr of the home; a son, Doyle J. Furr, Jr., of Albemarle; four brothers, Lonnie Lambert of Albemarle, Stancil Lambert and Carl Lambert, both of Stanfield, and R. J. Lambert of Kannapolis; five sisters, Bertie Lee Ritchie of Stanfield, Annie Lou Fisher of Mt. Pleasant, Betty Morgan. of Oakboro, Patsy Honeycutt of Locust and Mary Brault of Charlotte; three stepsons, Mickey Furr, Michael Furr and Roger Furr, all of Stanfield; a stepdaughter, Kathy Furr of Roxboro; and five step- grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home.
