Death

MONROE - Mr. Henry B. "Bennett" Hinson, 85, died Friday, February 6, 2009, at Hospice House of Union County. Mr. Hinson was born August 17, 1923, in Union County, son of the late J.A. and Eulalia Little Hinson, he was a WWII veteran. Survivors include three brothers, John Paul Hinson, Steve Hinson and wife Jeanette, James Victor Hinson and wife Annie Lee, all of Monroe, N.C.; one sister, Martha Beatrice Parker of Indian Trail, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Agnes Joyner of Monroe, N.C., Carol Faulkenberry, Joseph Faulkenberry, Dalphene Faulkenberry, all of Kershaw, S.C. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Larry Austin and Elder Charles Smith officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Union Park Assisted Living, 1316 Patterson St., Monroe, NC 28112; or Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The family of Mr. Hinson will receive friends from six until eight p.m. Saturday at the McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe.
