ALBEMARLE — Barbara Ann Dennis Furr, 62, died Sunday, October 14, 2001 at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Born July 21, 1939 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of Margaret Lee Dennis and the late John Duston Dennis. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Monty Porter and the Rev. Gary Hunsucker will officiate. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Albemarle, NC. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2001 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. She attended East Albemarle Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed crafts and working with her flowers. Survivors are husband, Bobby M. Furr of Albemarle, NC; mother, Margaret Lee Dennis; son, Mike Furr of Statesville, NC; daughters, Kathy F. Thorpe of Albemarle, NC and Cindy F. Binns of Statesville, NC; sisters, Lucille Butler of Norwood, NC and Mary R. Broadway of Albemarle, NC; grandsons, Ryan Thorpe and Daniel Thorpe. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St. Albemarle, NC 28001-3405. The family will be at the home, 1241 Magnolia St., Albemarle, NC.
