TEXAS CITY — Carol Ann Garcia of La Marque became the bride of Charles R. Culbertson of Texas City March 20 at the Frank B. Davison Home in Texas City. Justice of the Peace James E. Buckner officiated at the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an ivory linen suit with ivory and lilac blouse. She wore an ivory picture hat with tea-length veil. The bride carried a bouquet with purple-throated orchid, greenery, and ivory and lilac ribbons. Matron of honor was Paulette McCorkle of La Marque. Best man was Steve Page of Cleveland, Okla. Houseparty members Carol Follis and Amy Leggett served at the reception which was held at the Davison Home. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh E. Furr of Palestine, Texas. She is a graduate of Palestine High School and is employed as a clerk at Texas-New Mexico Power Company. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Culbertson of Cleveland, Okla. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He was listed in the 19th edition of Marquis Who’s Who in The South and Southwest and is a member of Kiwanis Club. He is a division distribution engineer with Texas-New Mexico Power Company.
