Death
HARTSVILLE — Services for Johnny F. Furr, 62, of 3433 Bethel Road, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Darlington with burial in Darlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Belk Funeral Home, Darlington. Memorials may be made to Faith Freewill Baptist Church,1335 Lamar Highway, Darlington 29532. Mr. Furr died Wednesday after an illness. Born in Midland, N.C., he was a son of the late Grady Lee and Irene Pinon Furr. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW. Mr. Furr was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Sarah B. Furr of the home; stepdaughters, Mrs. Steve “Gail” Mercuri of Florence and Mrs. Bill “Lesa” Badger of Hartsville; step-granddaughter, Celeste Durant of Florence; step-great-grandchild, Taylor Durant; sisters, Linda Barbie of Midland, Judy Leigh of Texas, Sue Russian and Marie Chapman, both of Concord, N.C.; brother, Eddie Furr of Stanfield, N.C., Tim Furr of Concord, N.C.Endnotes
