Mary Joanna Furr Williams -PANAMA CITY, Fla. - Joanne Williams, wife of Major John A. Williams, Jr., USAF, died Monday, September 17, 2007. She was born on January 11, 1930 in Poplarville, Miss. She attended Tift College in Forsyth, Ga., where she met her future husband. Joanne moved with her family to Panama City after John retired from the United States Air Force. -She is survived by her her husband, John; daughter, Leanne Williams Shell and husband Robert of Fort Lauderdale; niece, Teri Williams Hudgins and husband Jim of Roswell; nephews, Tommy and wife Fay of Columbus, Miss. Ruff Gipson and wife Darlene of Columbus, Miss. and special cousin, Jim Williams and wife Betty Lou of Decatur, Ga. -A memorial service will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 11A.M. with the Reverend David Warren officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 11A.M.
