Death

Mr. Julius P. Rayford, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, in Fort Smith. Mr. Rayford was 81 years, 9 months, and 13 days old. He was a retired Civil Service employee for for McClellan Air Force Base; a United States veteran of both the ARMY & NAVY; a lifetime member of the Disable American Veterans; and Veterans of Foreign Wars; and he was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazerene. Mr. Rayford was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two daughters: Julie Arnold, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Mona Williams of Van Buren, Arkansas; a son: Ronnie Rayford, of Biloxi, Mississippi; two sisters: Mary Parker and Renie Alberstadt, both of Mobile, Alabama; a brother: Michael Glavan, of Atmore, Alabama; 9 wonderful grandchildren; 5 precious great-grandchildren; and many good friends. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 5, 2009, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers were: Andy Blaylock, Tony Arnold, Dale Blaylock, and Brandon Jones-Blaylock.
