FURR, Peter Rackard, 65, a resident of Montgomery for the past 30 years, died Sunday at 11:20 a.m. at a local hospital after a long illness. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Pollard and Mrs. A. W. Yarbrough, both of Montgomery; four sons, P. V. and Otis Furr, of Montgomery; Teemer Furr, Johnson City, Tex., and George W. Furr, California: one sister, Mrs. Gertrude White, Patsburg, Ala.; two brothers, Dewitt Furr, Montgomery, and Will Furr, Petrey, Ala. Services will be held from White Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.Alabama Journal, Montgomery, Alabama, December 26, 1949
