Death
Ben Roy Barber 81, of Lexington went to his heavenly home Monday, December 2,2024. Ben was born in Saint Pauls, NC to David and Edna Barber. Ben worked at Lexington Furniture Industry (Link Taylor) for over 35 years. Ben was a devoted employee, missing only a few days in all his years there. Ben was a proud member of Freedom Baptist Church for over 30 years. He is survived by his five children. Bobby Barber (Teresa) of Wallace, SC, Scottie Barber of Lexington, Jodey Barber (Amanda) of Mocksville, Jenny Eaton (David) of Lexington and Shane Barber of New Port Richey, FL. His grandsons Cody Eaton (Jamison), Josh Eaton (Kelsea), Aiden McMahan, Brandon Barber, John Mark Barber, Tanner Shoffner, Cody Shoffner, Denis and Logan Barber. Granddaughters Amanda Motley (Josh), Nicole Gibson, and Brandi Barber and nine great grandchildren. His sister Nola Isenhour and his sister-in-law Peggy Barber. Lifelong friend Bonnie King (Jimmy). Special mention to his niece Lola Kirk, his "jaws". Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death was his wife of over 42 years, Barbara Furr Barber. His parents David and Edna Barber. His brothers Jim Barber, Donald Barber, his sisters Cathryun Davis and Jean Barber. And Pastor Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Wednesday December 4,2024, from 6-8pm. There will be a graveside service Thursday December 5, 2024, at 11 AM with Pastor Nathan Brinkley of Freedom Baptist Church officiating. The family thanks everyone for the prayers, visits and all the messages. They also would like to thank the everyday staff at Abbotts Creek center for the love and care of our Dad!Endnotes
