Capt. William ALLEN III

Valentine's father, William, first lived in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent County, Virginia. He was a member of the Church of England. His first wife was Hannah WATSON/MILLINGTON. With his second wife, Mary, on July 12, 1726, he sold 200 acres on the north side of the Nottoway River in Surry County, Virginia. On November 18, 1741, William and Mary bought 375 acres in Goochland County, Virginia. William and Mary moved to Charles City County, Virginia, where he was a Justice of the Court from 1742 to 1744. On September 16, 1745, they deeded 1,500 acres. They continued to sell off lands in the late 1740s.
