Death
IUKA - Cecil E. Dexter, 77, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a butcher at local grocery stores, a meat inspector for the state and a sales representative for Wilson Meat Sales. A former Boy Scout leader, he enjoyed fishing, golf and baseball. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Tommy Jennings and the Rev. Ray Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Floy Mae Dexter of Iuka; a son, Cecil Terry Dexter and wife, Jackie, of Athens, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. and Lucy Dexter; two sisters, Olene Dexter Grisham and Elsie Dexter Yarber; and two brothers, Roy E. Dexter Jr. and the Rev. W.T. Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, NCICFUL, P.O.
