Death

Stacey Nicole Furr fought a good fight against Leukemia and died peacefully surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Stacey was born on November 16, 1979. She attended the University of New Orleans where she graduated with a degree in business. Stacey is survived by her beautiful daughter, Makayla Marie Arbelo, her parents, Michael and Wendy Furr, her dedicated brother, Jeffrey Furr, her adoring niece, Hannah Furr, her sister in friendship and life, Rose Marie Busch-Herbert, her adopted sister, Teche McLean, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and neighbors, especially Ashleigh Whitlow. She was a beautiful and vivacious woman who brought joy into the lives of everyone she met. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and also on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 11:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at a later date.
