HUGOTON - Harriet Reardon, 88, Hugoton, Kan., died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Stevens County Hospital, Hugoton, Kan. The daughter of John and Grace Minor McAtee, she was born Sept. 13, 1917, on the family farm in Stevens County, Kan. She was a lifetime resident. She and Emmett Reardon were married Dec. 10, 1942, at Riverside, Calif. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Fellowship Quilting, VFW Auxiliary, and Eastern Star, all of Hugoton, Kan. Survivors include: her husband, Emmett Reardon, Hugoton, Kan.; one son, Harold Reardon and wife, Cindy, Tyrone, Okla.; two daughters, Charlotte Thomas and husband, Frankie, Hugoton, Kan., Kathleen Furr and husband Frank, Hugoton, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Tabitha and Eric Rich, Aaron and Joy Thomas, Hillary and Ryan Bleiker, Jason and Gracie Furr, Adam Furr and Jama Zimmerman, Heather and Danny Romero, Mark and Jessica Reardon; twelve great-grandchildren, Erica Rich, Cameron Thomas, Jada Thomas, Ashley, Ryan, Sean, and Kyle McCoskey, Laci, Devan, and Dylan Romero, Ashlye and Opal Reardon and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, two sisters, Mildred Cline and Helen Nordyke. Memorials have been established for either American Cancer Society or donor's choice. Memorials may be mailed to Paul's Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS, 67951. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Hugoton, Kan., with Rev. Greg Lindenberger presiding and burial in the Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kan. Paul's Funeral Home, Hugoton, Kan., is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.Endnotes
