Death
Sara "Louise" Honeycutt Baugh, 92, of Concord, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Angels of Heart Assisted Living in China Grove. Louise was born July 28, 1927 in Cabarrus County to the late Thomas Alexander Honeycutt and the late Clara Rettiebell Furr Honeycutt. She was also preceded in death by husband, J.B. Baugh; two brothers, Afton and Ira Honeycutt; five sisters, Puie Scott, Martha Rowland, Autie Freeman, Velma Irene Barnhart,Viola Alexander; and one step-granddaughter, Erica Murray. Louise was part of Mount Pleasant High School, Class of 1945. She worked in various hosiery mills for a long time and later became a certified hairdresser. She had also been a manager of Sunglass Hut and a wig store, both in the mall. Louise also sold furniture in Kannapolis. She was always passionate when creating and styling her garden park. One of her favorite pastimes included eating and visiting with friends at her third home, K&W Cafeteria. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Concord. Louise was a loving mother and grandma. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include daughter, Sandra Baugh (Lawton Jr.) Hatley of Hickory; son, Harley Warren (Pam) Baugh of Concord; daughter, Denise (Patrick) McMahon of Mesquite, NV; three grandchildren, Lawton Hatley III, Brenda Clay, and Michael (Melissa) Hamada; step-grandson, Shawn McMahon; and one great-grandson, Brandon Eubanks. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jim Collier. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Louise's memory to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Baugh family.Endnotes
