Individual Details
Daniel Burton TUCKER
(Abt 1856 - 23 Jan 1892)
Picture. He was brutally murdered in Arkansas by Alec Whitley, illegitimate son of Christian Burris and Susanna Whitley. When Alec Whitley returned to Stanly County, he was arrested by Daniel Solomon Speight, deputy sheriff. The citizens of Stanly County stormed the jail, took Alec, and hanged him. He was, apparently, the only person to be hanged in Stanly County.
