Death
Sally B. Ward, 73, of 2008 S. Mebane St. went home to be with her Lord on October 14, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Ward was born October 18, 1932 in Cabarrus, Co. to the late Howard Ottaway and Eva Beam. She was a retired textile employee and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Roy M. Furr and wife Ann of Graham; a daughter, Lucie Hinshaw and husband Wayne Harris of Gibsonville; six grandchildren, Roy M. Furr, III, Kevin Furr, James Furr, Levon Gagas, Christopher Hinshaw, and Rayann Rickman; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Carlie May and husband Thomas of Burlington; and a brother, Brooks Beam and wife Clara of Burlington; and her loving dog "Susie". She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry W. Furr; one sister Lucy Beam; and four brothers, Robert Lee Beam, Johnny D. Beam, William A. Beam, and Howard O. Beam, Jr. " The Broken Chain" We little knew that day. That God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly. In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to loose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you. You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken. And nothing seems the same. But as God takes us one by one. The chain will link again. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lance McClure. The family will be at the home of the daughter Lucie Hinshaw, 50 Palmers Drive, Gibsonville, The family would like to thank Rhonda Trollenger and all of the Hospice staff that help with Mrs. Ward during her illness.
