SAND SPRINGS — A Sand Springs man died Friday night after receiving massive head and chest injuries after his van hit an embankment near South 225th West Avenue, one mile south of Oklahoma 51, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. Donnie Junior Furr, 27, died after his 1971 Ford van skidded and hit an embankment. The van rolled on the side and Furr was pinned for one hour and 33 minutes. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:07 p.m.
