Death

Mrs. Mary Priscilla Wells Futrell, age 92, of 113 Rockfish Court Apartments, Wallace, died February 4, 2004 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday from the Rockfish Presbyterian Church. Rev. Charles Love will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Rockfish Cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lewellyn Furr and husband Glynn of Cary; two granddaughters, Miss Mary Joyce Furr and Miss Sarah Beth Furr; one grandson, Gordon Lee Whitaker, Jr. and wife Cindi. A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Futrell was the daughter of the late John Henry Wells and wife Etta Powell Wells. Her husband, Frank W. Futrell, preceded her in death as well as her sister, Mrs. Sally Fryer and her brother, Walter Wells. She was a member of Rockfish Presbyterian Church. The family will receive at Padgett Funeral Home Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and suggest those so desiring may make memorials to the American Heart Association, Mid Atlantic Affiliate - Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA. 23058-5216.
