Individual Details

Jackson John "Jack" HINSON

(1824 - 10 Apr 1887)

There wasn't a body found so the place of death is uncertain..Jackson Hinson was never seen after his daughter, Winnie, married J. Tom Tucker in April 10, 1887, Stanly Co., NC. There have been rumors that Jackson Hinson was a lawyer but I have found no documents to prove this. According to Marie Hinson, of Lexington, NC., The Story in the family is that Jackson Hinson was in the Civil War, came home and carried some corn to the mill, brought it back and was never heard from after that time. His home was behind the Daniel C. Hinson home on Liberty Hill and Big Lick Road near Oakboro, NC.
