Death
WEST END - Elbert F. "Babe" Harris, 76, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He is survived by his wife, Margaret of the home; sons, James Harris of Charlotte, Charles Harris of Raleigh and Tim Harris of West End; daughters, Edna Dix of Pinehurst and Janet Jones of Biscoe; brothers, Clarence Harris of Jacksonville, Fla. and Robert Harris of Eagle Springs; sisters, Edith Blue of Jackson Springs, Peggy Swaringen of Pinehurst and Betty Richardson of Pinehurst; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. "Babe" was retired from Stanley Furniture Company in West End and was also an employee of Foxfire Country Club. He attended Bible Tabernacle Church. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. tonight at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes, West End. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bible Tabernacle Church on Hwy 22, Airport Road. Burial will follow at Bible Tabernacle Cemetery of Whispering Pines. Boles Funeral Home of Seven Lakes is in charge of arrangements.Greensboro News & Record (NC) - Thursday, September 14, 1995
