Death
Vida Lee Brewer Furr, 83, of Southern Pines, formerly of West End, died Monday (Nov. 21, 2005) at St. Joseph of the Pines, Southern Pines. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m., prior to the service. Mrs. Furr was born March 7, 1922, in Moore County to Tom and Sadie Brady Brewer. She was retired from Stanley Furniture Company and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Furr on May 8, 1985. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215.Endnotes
