Ricky Jeremy Furr-Longbine, 49, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on June 13, 2023. Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 16, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Ricky was born in Roswell, New Mexico on January 28, 1974, to Ricky Furr and Sherry Freeman. Ricky graduated high school from Canyon High School in 1992. Immediately after graduation Ricky joined the US Army for 6 years and served in the Afghanistan war. When he left the services he worked for BNSF for 24 years as a carman and eventually became a Mechanical Foreman "Too". After Ricky retired from the railroad, he was looking forward to traveling with his beautiful Wife Jennifer and enjoying fishing with "my girl" Molly his beloved Rottweiler. He loved to cook & feed his family. With a heart of gold and always willing to help anyone at anytime, friends, family or stranger. Ricky was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hubert Freeman; paternal grandfather, JA and grandmother Winona Furr; his other beloved fathers, Terry Lyn Longbine, and Billy Jo Massey; his grandparents, Frank and Doris Longbine; and niece, Kendal. Ricky is survived by The Love of his life, Jennifer Longbine; daughter Shelbi and husband Keith Hunt; daughter, Kristen Cooper; son, Andreas Furr of Germany; one grandson, Cooper; one grandbaby on-the-way; father, Rick Furr and wife Terri of Childress; mother, Sherry Longbine of Amarillo; sister, Emily Millheim and husband Phil; brother, Terry Longbine and wife Ashley; sister, Tara Owens and husband James; brother, Jinsun Massey and wife Nikki; sister, Elizabeth Massey; many nieces, nephews, and 3 great nephews that he picked on all the time; and grandmother, Barbara Cozbey and husband Jim.
