Death
Ephraim Hagler, age 19, born in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, a 5'–8" farmer, volunteered and was enrolled for service by R. S. Young at Cabarrus County on June 10, 1861. He mustered into service for the duration of the war, on August 21 at Camp Mason. He died in hospital at New Bern, Craven County, on September 10, 1861.
