Death

Margaret Kennedy Furr, 77, of 74 Highland Ave., Concord, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 1996, at the home of her son, Roland Furr, in Raeford. Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at graveside in West Concord Cemetery. The Robert Leonard will officiate. Born in Albemarle Sept. 5, 1918, she was a daughter of the late James Travis and Nellie Ida Huneycutt Kennedy and was a retired private duty nurse. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Her husband, Roland Foster Furr, died June 16, 1992. She is survived by two sons, Roland E. Furr of Raeford and Lance F. Furr of Concord; a sister, Bertie Blackwelder of Concord; three half brothers, Charlie Kennedy of Amarillo,Texas, George Kennedy of Kannapolis and Archie Kennedy of Concord; four half sisters, Colon Wall of Gasburg, Va., Stella Wills of Marysville, Calif., Peggy Gardner and Mary Bruno, both of Concord; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. At other times the will be at the home of Craig and Ann Furr, 901 Red Fox Lane, Concord.
