Death

Mr. David Adam Furr, 73, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home. The family will receive friends Friday, September 21, 2012 from 1 to 2 pm at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 20063 Meadow Creek Church Rd., Locust, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm with Elder Charles Smith officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr was born in Stanly County on May 19, 1939 to the late Charlie L. and Julia Simmons Furr. He worked in the art department as a textile engraver from the age of 16 until his retirement. Mr. Furr is survived by his; daughters Linda Pryce and her husband Curtis and Brenda Boatright and her husband Jimmy; sister, Mary Ruth Green; brother Robert Furr; 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Furr family.
