Death

Tammy Geraldine Furr, age 46, of Old Fort, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Tammy was born in Richmond County, NC on February 21, 1970 and was a daughter of Rufus Hoyle Furr of Old Fort and the late Martha Noblitt Furr. Tammy was a loving mother, grandmother and wife who was full of life and loved to have fun. Riding motorcycles and dancing was something she enjoyed doing and loved it. Surviving Tammy in addition to her father, are three children: Sabrina Cable of Marion, Samantha Watkins and husband Cody of Alaska and Dylan Nathaniel Johnson of Nebo; one brother, James Carl Furr of Old Fort; two sisters Martha Furr Hudgins and Jerri Furr Simmons, both of Old Fort; two granddaughters, Katilin Marthann Hudgins and Raylyn Emilyann Raines. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Noblitt Family Graveyard with Rev. Ben Cope officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dylan Johnson, 308 Wedgewood Drive, Apt. C-2, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701.
