Death

Sue Furr Cross East, 61, of Ramseur, died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held July 16, at 2 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Alex Miles will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cross Christian Church Cemetery. Mrs. East was a native of Mecklenburg County, a homemaker and attended Union Methodist Church. Survivors include husband, Roger L. East; daughters, Cindy Jo Edwards of Asheboro, Wanda Sue Bryant of Clinton; step-sons, Randall East of Asheboro, Roger D. East of Pleasant Garden; brothers, Daniel Luther Furr Jr. of Durham, David Ray Furr of Asheboro; sisters, Joann L. Stevenson of Troy, Patsy Thornton of Pleasant Garden, Becky L. Bray of Biscoe; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
