Death
Doris Ann Furr, 73, of Hayesville died Saturday (November 4, 2006) in a Henderson County, NC hospital. A native of Greenville, SC, she had been living in Clay County since 1977. She was the daughter of the late Joe Phillips and Pauline Brackens Bumgarner. She retired in 1978 after working for 18 years in retail sales. Doris attended the Martin Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Coy Lee Furr; four daughters, Connie Watts of Denver, NC, Gail Bolton of Belmont, NC, Kathryn Oana of Hayesville, and Renee Grindstaff of Hiawassee, GA; a son, Ronald J. Rogers of Maiden, NC; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville was in charge of all arrangements.Endnotes
