Death
Opal Irene Raper Childs, 78, of McKinney, passed away June 5, 2003 at North Central Medical Center in McKinney. She was born Oct. 29, 1924. She worked as a receptionist for Wal-Mart in McKinney and a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Pressnell and husband Don of McKinney. and Debbie Bardin of McKinney; son Dwight Stewart and wife Linda of San Antonio; grandchildren Shannon and Rocky Pressnell of McKinney, Sherry Weatherley of Denton, Mindy Bardin of McKinney, Byron and Katherine Stewart of San Antonio and Troy Stewart of McKinney; three great-grandchildren; sister Dottie Fairfield of McKinney; brother Bobby Joe Raper of Irving and many friends at Wal-Mart of McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Larry Acosta and Joe Stewart and brother Roy Max Raper. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Belew Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Lucas. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday.The Courier-Gazette, McKinney, Texas, June 5, 2003
