CHILDRESS - Nettie Ruth Gambol, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Tell Baptist Cemetery in Tell with the Rev. Harold Moore officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Gambol was born Oct. 2, 1929, in Childress to Tom and Ruby Ritchardson Goff. She married Leo Eugene "Gene" Gambol on June 21, 1946, in Childress. Survivors include five daughters, Shirley Lopez of Borger, Pat Theseas, Dixie Cochran and Callie Decker, all of Tell, and Terri Hughes of Fort Worth; a son, Larry Gambol of Childress; a sister, JoAnn Shelton of Childress; two brothers, Cecil Goff of Tell and James Goff of Childress; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 15, 2008
