Death

Services for Gloria Furr, 67, Canton, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, with the Rev. Dan Tarno officiating. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. Mrs. Furr died Dec. 12, 2010, in Tyler. Survivors include sons, Jerry Ray Furr Jr., Randy Furr, Johnny Furr, Christopher Furr, SFC Derick Furr and Jeffrey Daniel Furr; daughter, Elizabeth Furr; brother, Wendel Reed; sister, Rebecca Crawford; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dan Tarno officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, TX. She passed away December 12, 2010 in Tyler, TX. Mrs. Furr was born May 12, 1943 in Dallas, TX, to Harry and Margie Hinkle Reed. Gloria grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. She and Jerry Furr maried at an early age. They began their family while in Garland but moved to Canton in the early 70s, where she has lived ever since. Many came to know Gloria through her business of selling animals she had raised at the First Monday Trade Grounds. Surviving are 6 Sons: Jerry Ray Furr Jr. of Canton, Randy Lee & Maribeth Furr of Canton, Johnny D & Fancy Furr of Canton, Christopher L. & Angela Furr of Canton, SFC Derick & Christa Furr of Midland, GA, Jeffrey Daniel Furr of Canton, Daughter, Elizabeth Danielle Furr of Canton, Brother, Wendel Reed of Point, TX, Sister, Rebecca Crawford of Point, TX, 13 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by Husband, Jerry Don Furr Sr., Son, Dewayne Furr, 2 Bros. Russell & Raymond Reed, Sister: Sharon Reed, and Parents, Harry and Margie Reed. Sons will serve as Pallbearers. Family will receive friends Monday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
