Death
Robert Furr, 55, of Yuba City died Nov. 2, 2007, at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Born in Los Angeles, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 25 years. He was a welder. Also, he attended St. Isidore Catholic Church and was a member of the Bass Fishing Club. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sharon Furr of Yuba City; two daughters, Jody Shortridge and Melissa Furr, both of Yuba City; four sons, Michael Furr and Brian Furr, both of Yuba City, Kenny Furr of Olivehurst and Jacob Furr of Linda; his mother, Josephine Furr of Olivehurst; four brothers, Butch Furr of Marysville and James Furr, Frank Furr and Vincent Furr, all of Olivehurst; five sisters, Beverly Milam of Yuba City, Mary Jones and Joanna Furr, both of Marysville, Theresa Cantrell of Olivehurst and Lisa Zimmerman of Roseville; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Rayburn Furr. Donations may be made to the Robert Furr Memorial Fund, in care of Holycross Memorial Chapel, 486 Bridge St., Yuba City, CA 95993. Services: A graveside service is at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter.
