Benge B. Whitney, 80, of Yakima died Friday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born in McKenna, Wash., was a homemaker and worked for Del Monte. Survivors include her children, Nan Furr of Joshua, Texas, Accordia Horn of Sunnyside, Lola Southards of Yakima, Elizabeth Prieb of Florida, Patricia Morgan of Yakima, Kathaleen Houst-Hitch of Boise, Idaho, Mary Armstrong of Fife, Wash., and Peter Whitney Jr. and James Whitney, both of Yakima; 25 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. Services are pending. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home of Yakima is handling arrangements.Endnotes
