MIDLAND — Bonnie Clontz Furr, 97, of 14825 Hopewell Church Road, died Monday, December 3, 2001 at First Assembly Living Center. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Mill Grove United Methodist Church, Rev. Arval Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Mrs. Furr was born June 1, 1904 in Union County, NC to the late Dora Virginia Hartsell and John Adam Clontz. She was a homemaker, a member of Mill Grove United Methodist Church, and the widow of the late Andrew Jackson Furr. She is survived by her son, Charles and wife, Phyllis Furr of Midland, NC; daughter, Opal Hough of Midland; sister, Pauline Long of Rock Hill, SC; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 13659 South US 601 Hwy., Midland, NC 28107.
