Death

Graveside service for L.D. Bays, 76, of Fort Worth was to be Saturday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m. at West Bridgeport Cemetery. The speaker was to be his grandson, Joshua Bays. Bays died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, in Fort Worth. Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Knox County, he was a retired maintenance mechanic at Texas Christian University. He married Ola Mae Furr on Nov. 9, 1949, in Indiahoma, Okla., and he served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Cindy Bays, and his granddaughter, Beverly Bays. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Dennis Lee Bays of Fort Worth, Danny Lynn Bays and wife, Cathy, of Burleson and Larry Dwayne Bays of Joshua; three sisters, Jean Norris of Fort Worth, and Winnie Jones and Judy Bays, both of Angleton; and six grandchildren.
