Death
Marshall Lee Furr, 76, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, in Stockdale, Texas. He was born in Stockdale on Aug. 17, 1932, to Arthur and Willie Maude Goodwin Furr and remained in Stockdale his entire life. Marshall was a longtime musician, playing in a band around the area and other places as well. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola; his parents; and two sisters, Mildred and Margaret Furr. Numerous loving cousins and many friends survive Marshall. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 29, at 10 a.m. in the Faith Temple Church in Nixon, with Pastor Michael Cowey officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wilson County.Wilson County News, Floresville, Texas, September 30, 2008
