Death
Charlsie Diane Furr Mrs. Furr, 59, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 05, 2004. Cherished wife of Charles Dean Furr for 41 years, Charlsie was born March 26, 1945 in Gaffney, SC. She was the beloved mother of Dawn Bonagura, Wendy Overbey and Misty Furr; Maw Maw to Danial Puckett, Matthew Puckett, Kevin Bonagura, Jamie Bonagura, Brittany Guice, Charlie Guice, Elexess O. Waterfield, Tera Overbey, Maggie and Roxy Furr. She is also survived by two wonderful son-in-law's, Ken Bonagura and Kim Overbey. Mrs. Furr was a devoted wife and mother, a very strong person and influence for the people who knew her. She loved her family and friends fiercely. She will be dearly missed and we will carry her love forever. Other survivors include parents, Charles and Ruth Coyle of Cherryville, NC; sisters, Anita Grey of Mint Hill, NC, Pat Bowyer of Cherryville, NC, and Brenda Joyce Shackleford of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and many nieces and nephews that she loved tremendously. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Lawrance and Rev. Leon Weber officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. at Raymer Funeral Home. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful support teams that carried us through this difficult time. You have surrounded us with love and courage, without you we could not have made it. We would love to express her gratitude to the caring nurses of the 3 A Presbyterian Hospital and Dr. Boyd's office. Memorials may be made to the Buddy Kemp House, 200 Hawthorne Lane, Charlotte, NC 28204.
