Death
LITTLE BAHALA, April 10. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Katie Hogatt Smith, age 76, in the little church in which she worshipped for such a long time. The services were held In the Little Bahala Baptist church, where Dr. W. T. Green officiated. A large crowd of friends and relatives attended the services, and the beautiful floral offerings showed the spirit In which Mrs. Smith lived. Interment was made In the church cemetery. Mrs. Smith is survived by the following children: W. Lawrence Hoggatt, R Solon Hoggatt and Mrs. Graves C. Smith of Wesson. Step-children: R. Edgar Smith, Jackson; Hollis I. Smith. Kernes City, Tex.; and Mrs. F. A. Girault, Sicily Island, La. Children by her marriage to Mr. Smith are: J. L. Smith and Mary Smith Brown, Wesson; Lott Smith, Refugio: and Mrs. E. A. Courrier, Kyser, W. Va.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, 11 Apr 1938
