CENSUS 1850 Copiah Co. MS, p. 228(b), age 15, student, with parents. 1860 Copiah Co. MS, p. 181, age 26, farmer, with mother. 1870 1880 Copiah Co. MS, Gallatin Precinct (Beat 1), probably west of Hazlehurst, age 45, farmer (states father b. NC, mother b. MS, believe in error). 1900 Copiah Co. MS, Dillard Precinct (Beat 1), near Gallman village (SD7, ED30, sht 5A), born Nov 1842 (birth year appears incorrect), married 28 years; was a farmer on rented land, both parents born in SC (believe in error).
After death of first wife (Martha J. Watson, who was the Mullen family ancestor) in 1872, married Nancy (or Nannie) Fairchild, who was a sister of maternal grandfather of Ophie Mae Smith. Per 1900 census, had 3 children (2 surviving in 1900) by 2nd wife (Nancy). Son Ferdinand owned a plantation in MS. Little Bahala Creek is in Copiah Co on border of Lincoln Co, MS, east of Wesson. Residence may have been in either county.

Died of "La Grippe" (influenza), buried at Little Bahala Church (about 6 miles east of Wesson, in Lincoln Co). Birthplace MS, parents' names, occupation, date of birth not given; informant was Jas. M. Furr of Wesson MS (Ike's son-in-law, wife of daughter Alice (Allie)).
