Death
FURR, NORA LOUISE GROSE - of Knoxville, died Tuesday, April 6, 1999, in Chihuahua, Mexico, while on a cruise. In the 1960's and 1970's, she was involved in the Knoxville Republican Party and the Knoxville Conservative Club. Survived by: husband, Dr. Fred M. Furr of Knoxville; daughter, Martha A. Furr of Maryville; son, Fred M. Furr, Jr. of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Sam G. and Shelley Furr of Woodstock, Ga., Clyde L. and Mary Furr of Corryton, Tenn.; grandchildren, John Michael Furr, Matthew Scott Furr and Kathryn Elizabeth Furr; brother, Raymond Grose of Detroit; sisters, Beulah Bland of Ft. Mill, S.C., and Ruth Richardson of Columbia, S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Pastor David Bradford and Pastor David Bland officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at Jacksboro Cemetery, Jacksboro, Tenn., for a 1 p.m. graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Academy of Environmental Medicine, 9217 Parkwest Blvd., E Suite 1, Knoxville, TN 37923.
