Angela Sage Van Cleave, 17There was never a person who met her that didn’t fall in love with her
Angela Sage Van Cleave, 17-year-old Alamogordo resident, died Sunday, June 27, in Las Cruces.
Miss Van Cleave was born December 23, 1986 in Alamogordo the daughter of Rodger Van Cleave and Lori Bartlett Furr.
There was never a person who met her that didn’t fall in love with her. Love at first sight! She loved people and was pursuing a nursing degree, but she also enjoyed her alone time. Every chance she got she would escape to the mountains. She loved the outdoors and never minded getting dirty, just like the boys. She was a beautiful young lady from the inside-out. Sage was very loving, forgiving and content with her life. She never asked for much. She was a true example of a person who was able to love others, unconditionally.
She is survived by her father Roger Van Cleave; her mother Lori and husband Dean Furr; a sister, Amity Furr, all of Alamogordo; grandparents, Susan Smith, Will Bartlett and Mac Van Cleave; great grandparents, Cecil Smith; and Jess and Clotha Hudman; aunts, Lebra Howard, Erica Elkins and Sharon Smith; uncles, Kelly Van Cleave and Mac Van Cleave; cousins, Michael Levi Howard and Mark Alan Najar; and fiancé, Douglas Dalton. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Carolyn Van Cleave and great grandmother Opal Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 3, at the First Assembly Worship Center, 10th and Florida, with Pastor David Crispin and Reverend Wayne Bernard officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 4 until 7 p.m. at Sears Alamogordo Funeral Home, 2301 First Street.
Pallbearers are Mark Alan Najar, Michael Levi Howard, Douglas Dalton, Kelly Van Cleave, Erica Elkins and David Dias. Honorary Pallbearers are Will Bartlet, Billy Elkins, Bill Smith, David Smith and Mac Van Cleave, Jr. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery.
