Death
FREDERICK Funeral for Jesse Lee "Jack" Renfro Sr., 80, of Frederick, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, Frederick, with the Rev. Brent Morey and Bro. Andrew Hayward officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, east of Snyder. Mr. Renfro passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, in Frederick. Jesse Lee Renfro Sr. was born Aug. 25, 1933, in Enid, to Jesse James and Hazel Belle Kimbriel Renfro. He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a tech sergeant in 1974. He became friends with numerous people around the area as he worked at several firms in Frederick including Aviall, Tillman County Memorial Hospital, Gibsons, United Grocery, the Frederick Leader and Jackson Funeral Home. Jesse was united in marriage to Dora Ellen Furr on May 31, 1953, in Frederick. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2004. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He served as commander of the DAV for many years and was a member of the VFW in Altus. He is survived two sons: James Renfro, of Roswell, N.M.; and Jesse Renfro Jr. and his wife Brenda, of Cache; one daughter, Tammy Crosswhite and her husband Greg, of Frederick; one brother, Robert Renfro and his wife Virginia, of Azle, Texas; three sisters: Josephine McBlair, of Enid; Lucille Mitchell, of Hollister; and Rosemary Coffee and her husband Curtis, of Modesto, Calif.; eight grandchildren: Dee Cordova, Rhonda Clark and her husband Manson, Shunda Brown and her husband Shawn, Wyatt Renfro, Charis Curtis and her husband Billy, Jesse J. Renfro and his wife Kristie, Chelsie McBride and her husband Michael, and Justin Crosswhite and his wife Marysol; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers: Buddy and Nathan Renfro; four sisters: Estelle Kiley, LaDonna Mitchell and twin sisters who died in infancy.Endnotes
