MIDLAND - Lemuel Kenneth Harvell, 64, of Drake Road, Midland, passed away Jan. 11, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, Concord. Mr. Harvell was born March 17, 1945, in Stanly County to the former Raymell Harvell Christenbury. He worked in maintenance for Charlotte Pipe & Foundry. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.12, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Freedom Baptist Cemetery, Locust. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay Furr Harvell; sons, Jerry Harvell and wife, Terry, of Midland and Kenneth Harvell of Stanfield; brothers, Sam Hopkins and Terry Christenbury both of Midland and Andy Christenbury of China Grove; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the family.
