Death
CONCORD - Roxie Annie Taylor Stallings, 100, of Concord passed away on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on Aug. 5, 1910, in Stanly County to the late Ephram and Mary Tucker Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fletcher Lee "F.L." Stallings who passed away in 1973, and daughters Alleen Stallings, Kathleen S. Hartsell, and Nadine S. Furr. Mrs. Stallings was a member of Southside Baptist Church. The family meeting place will be at the home of her daughter Geraldine Gledhill at 212 Highland Avenue Concord. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, from 2 until 3 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Mission Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m., with the Rev. Terry Smith and the Rev. Robert Page officiating. She is survived by sons, Robert Stallings of Concord, and Herbert Stallings of Charlotte; daughter, Geraldine Gledhill of Concord; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Stallings family.
