Death

Maxine Dianne P. Furr, 81, of Concord, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024 to go home with her Lord and savior. She was born in Cabarrus county to the late Jewell and Clyde M. Porter Sr. She worked in the hosiery and textiles until her retirement. She was a homemaker, loved to garden, collecting porcelain dolls, having her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her, loved her church family and being at the beach. Survivors include husband of 60 years meeting on a blind date, Jerry (Nick) Furr; son, David Wayne Furr, son, Kevin Scott Furr(Jackie), son, Darryl Maxton Furr, son, Christopher Todd Furr, all of Concord; grandchildren, Cherie, Angie, Micah, Nathan, Clay, Maxton, and Reed; great-grand children, Grayson, Ayden, Dale jr, Levi, and Axl; sister, Gail, of midland as well as nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11am-11:45am, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Broadus Church, 59 Green Street SW, Concord, NC 28027. The funeral service will follow at 12pm at Broadus Church officiated by Rev. Rodney Quesenberry. Burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, 601 Mt Olivet Road, Concord, NC 28025. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Tucker Hospice House. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
