Jimmy “Hollywood” Ray Harwood, 58, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday October 3rd, 2018. Graveside service will be Saturday October 6, 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Howard officiating. The Harwood family will receive friends from 10-12 prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant. Jimmy was born in Cabarrus County November, 27 1959 to the late David B. and Minnie Fayedene Furr Harwood. He was a 1978 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and worked for many years in the heating and air condition business. Jimmy loved spending time with his family, gardening, panning for gold and fishing. He is survived by his wife Sandra Cook Harwood; son Jason D. Harwood; brother Bobby Harwood (Linda); nephews Arron Harwood and Devin Cook; nieces Melissa Shue and Desirae Smith and mother and father-in-law Carol and Don Vandekreeke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses. Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant is serving the Harwood family.
